(Excerpt taken from Wikipedia) Bulgari  is an Italian luxury brand known for its jewellery, watches, fragrances, accessories and leather goods. Currently part of the LVMH Group, Bulgari was founded in Rome in 1884 by the silversmith Sotirios Voulgaris (Italian: Sotirio Bulgari) as a single jewellery shop that has, over the years, become an international brand. The company has evolved into a player in the luxury market, with an established and growing network of stores.

Project brief:

I had been contacted by London PR Agency– TwelveAM to take part in the collaboration between Bvlgari and children’s charity Save The Children. The brief was to showcase the collaborative collection by creating an instagram post honouring a person who has been inspirational in my life.

My involvement:

I wanted to make this an aesthetically- led short video, so decided to use some macro diopter lens filters to film the details and various features of the Bulgari ring. I also added a small voiceover to talk about my father, who has been an inspirational figure in my life for a while.

Process

1) Receive ring 2) set up lighting and set 3) place ring in the set 4) choose the correct macro diopter to capture macro details 5) move the ring around in various directions, catching the light 6) review footage 7) set up microphone and record voiceover 8) choose clips and edit film 9) adjust vocals and add to film 10) export and deliver film to client

RESULT

The client was very pleased with the creativity shown within these animations and how they all came together. The feedback was mainly preference such as changing of certain fonts and poses etc. The visual assets were promoted across all of Kitsunè’s social media channels, crediting me in each post.

RESULT

The TwelveAM team had fed back to me that Bulgari was impressed with the with the result of the film. Because this was quite an emotion-led piece, the film resonated with my Instagram followers as evident in their comments and direct messages.
