(Excerpt taken from HungerTV.com) The Hunger is a biannual magazine from photographer and publisher, Rankin. Launched in November 2011, The Hunger was born from Rankin's desire to celebrate the innate drive that we all possess and that, with a bit of creativity, can be used as an impetus for cultural change
I worked with the team at Kitsune to decide on a visual direction for the assets. Inspired by the acid house movement and combining a variety of modern digital techniques, I was taken to Paris to Direct and capture the content to then construct the assets myself. Video direction, movement direction, videography, edit, grading, retouching and animation by me.
As one of my mixed media editorials that I have created; I shot, edited and Creative Directed this piece. Noemie Schelbert- Stylist, Rebecca Abraham- Makeup Artist, Kit Falke- set designer
1) Create visual concept with stylist 2) Cast model, find studio location 3) choose crew to be included (hair, makeup, set design) 4) decide on visual techniques and begin preparation 5) Create projection animations prior to shoot 6) create rough shot list 7) shoot day commences, direct the model 8) Finish shoot and review footage and photos 9) Choose footage snippets and best photos 10) create Living Photos 11) Begin editing film with chosen footage 12) place living photos in sequence 13) add motion graphics, text and visual treatment 14) review and deliver

The client was very pleased with the creativity shown within these animations and how they all came together. The feedback was mainly preference such as changing of certain fonts and poses etc. The visual assets were promoted across all of Kitsunè’s social media channels, crediting me in each post.
